Hinderwell

Mike, Elaine, Martin, Claire, Kath, Emma, Ali, John, Adrian, Marley, Daisy Cottage not far from Staithes. Got a bus south to Sandsend and walked halfway back for lunch in the Fox and Hounds. Marley was starting to struggle, so Elaine, Mike and the dogs got another bus back. Sunday we drove up to Saltburn and kicked our heels there. Elaine demonstrated her inability to count, and therefore claimed to win the crazy golf.  Dinner on the Sunday night in the Cod and Lobster, Staithes. Table booked for Milk (?) Random Memory. Walking the hounds in the morning and evening around the block, there was a farm gate with two black labs that barked their heads off out M&D. Who took no notice.

Hawkshead

 Martin, Claire, Ali, Emma, Kath, John, Adrian, Mike, Elaine, Marley and Daisy. 28th Feb to 2nd March Just north of Hawkshead, just before Covid started to impact on our lives.  Saturday we did a long walk to Windermere and back. Lunch in the village, then a shorter walk in the afternoon. Random memory - tasting each other's drinks when we were being advised to maintain social distancing.

Grassington

 Martin, Claire, Kath, Adrian, John, Mike, Elaine, Marley and Daisy 20th - 23rd September 2019 Stayed at Grisedale Barn. Martin and Kath collected John and Adrian from the station in Skipton, and went for a pint while they were waiting. Friday evening outside the pub. Saturday walking to Grassington, lunch there. Elaine watched rugby. Sunday was a longer walk along the river. Visited the sweet shop, staffed by the world's grumpiest man. Random memory - Barbecue Sauce? You want BARBECUE SAUCE??? (in a eastern European accent).
